Hi Dan, I just find this 36T chainring for you
<
gasp!> My, that
is a lovely thing, Pete! It
even has an integrated bash guard.
Wowzers, that is a thing of beauty! I can hardly tear my eyes away, and I am sta...no...must.not.succumb to its Siren song, or all is lost; I'll be penniless and living under a bridge!
Jags, tie me to the mast and save me; this is bling-and-a-half, but subtle and "Class"!
The only thing that will save me from this beauty (which, I see, even comes in black if desired) is the Surly stainless I have already in my hot little hand, and the Thorn bash guard that is winging its way here. I can reverse the much harder stainless Surly 'ring when it starts to wear, and if I damage the bash guard...it won't also do in the chainring, as it might here.
Ah, me. It's nice just knowing such examples of CNC milling exist, Pete, and I appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for keeping me in mind!
All the best,
Dan. (...who has seen the equivalent of the puppy in the pet shop window and can't unsee it now)
