Hi All,
So today I finished my new blog update about Africa and Cowboys here is the Link:

I have been working on this for the last year as I do not have the time to be sued!

The pain of going with Cowboys in Africa is still there, this is why I now plan to go back with Tom to finish this trip to Cape Town......

Hi All,
I'm still alive and cycling in this great summer  :D i'm about to change my left hand crankarm from 170mm to 175mm for a better fit!
On my Road Bike I have 170mm LHS crankarm and 165mm RHS crank because as I have said before I have one leg 10mm shorter.
I can how spin and fill far better on my bikes..

I hope your all having a good time cycling  ;)

Been working hard repairing bike's some road and some not! like this fat bike!



Off to OZ Monday to lean about new thing's coming out and how to repair them  ;)
Plus going on 3 bike rides  :o Cross, Road, and Mountain  :P
Some no Tom (Nomad)..

Hi Jags,
Yes "how often?"
It was while laying in a African Bed ill! I started thing why I was still working as a Motorcycle Engineer ? 20+ years ?? why? so on coming home and recovering that I made a change.
Life can end so fast  :o and being Alive again  :o is a good time to start over.
I am alive, life is getting better and better...
Do not wait until it's too late... Live..

Wow, now that is a bike and a half! I thought my Nomad was over engineered, but it hasn't got anything on this bike.
Not even I would be worried about being too big to ride this. I'd be a little nervous riding the one in the background though.
Less than 10km to go and 5000km on my Nomad and just one puncture in all that time (and a front one, not rear.)

Well Hi All
I have had a good time with my Tom but it's time to sale Tom off  :o
I'm moving over to Bikepacking and building up a new Tom with 29+ tyres and a Rohloff Speedhub  :)

Thanks Guy's my old Tom is going to have a new adventure  8)

What is wrong with 26 inch tires for bikepacking?  Or is it the weight of the Nomad?

A frame bag can fit nicely in the Nomad too.  See photo.

Hi Yes 26" wheeled bike is slower (good for cycle touring) and harder on my body!
29+ is wheels of 29" x 3"  :) pumped up to 30psi are fast rolling for the road riding and when dropped to 15psi soft riding over rocky, bumpy offroad tracks.
I'm going to be riding in http://www.touraotearoa.nz/ next year and have to ride 3000km's in 30 day's or less  :o
