Hi All,
Here are a few photo's of the changers that I have made to get my Tom to fit me far far better  8)

So here is Tom just after BG Bike Fit, 10mm longer Stem and a New "Test" Saddle  ???

Here is my Tom with the 3rd pair of Handlebars in testing  :-\

New "Test" Saddle up close! Why? Because with a Brooks Saddle my Seat Bones where not seating in alinement.

New Handlebars and at last a bar that I like! They are "Salsa Bend 2" in 23 degree's, note new stem too.

New Seat Post 30.0mm with rubber boot around clamp (to stop water and dirt getting in)

My Tom how feels great to ride and easier to climb hill's too, In Love all over again  8)

Pete  :-*

Oh, not a chance of blacklisting, Pete!  Tom's a handsome fellow, the moreso for a little honest dirt-of-use upon him; 'never looked finer in my view.

I've so thoroughly enjoyed seeing Tom's updated photos and even more of your beautiful country; the closest I can get to being there through my computer screen. You're a fortunate man, Pete, to have such gorgeous scenery and wonderful riding opportunities right outside your back door. I've "explored" the area online and via GoogleMaps and StreetView since you first mentioned where you are, and -- yep! -- awfully hard to match, much less beat!

Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see more of Tom as he nears perfection for your needs.

Best,

Dan.

Hi All,
Well on Sunday I got asked if I would like to come on a Mountain Bike Ride over in Rotorua Mountain Bike Park? I said a Big Yes.
So off to Rotorua in there Van, We parked up and started cycling up hill to the start of "Billy T" track. I got passed (X2) by one of the Shuttles Buses that a lot of people catch to the top of there Downhill race track (close to "Billy T" track) we cycled 20 km's and climbed over 520 metre's a great fun few hour's.
Then it was a (long) 0.8km's to a great lunch cafe, in the Sun.
Once lunch was over we loaded up into the Van again and stopped off at a free Hot Pools spot (not the one in the Video below) only a few know of this spot and you all are not going to find it  :) Sorry Not!
After the Hot Pools we left for home and were all happy..

So this Video is made by one of the Top OZ Mountain Bike Mag's (please note all the odd looking people in this film are for OZ and Not New Zealand)
They are Mountain Biking in Taupo (the best part of the World), Rotorua, and more in and about Taupo/Rotorua.
I have cycled almost all of the Tracks in the Video and My Boss and the Shop that I work at (part time) are in the film too, and being asked about the tracks is all part of a work day.
Please watch the Film below you will like it, Mountain Biking is Fun and we in NZ how have Tracks from top to bottom of Godzone (NZ)

http://vimeo.com/53472060

Pete 8)

Most of the cycle tracks (almost all) are easy to cycle and great for cycle touring NZ (and not in this film)!

Hi All,
Here is my friends new business Tread Routes, Tread Routes provides mountain biking expeditions. Partnering with the NZ Cycle Trail they offer fully supported point to point multi-day trips with a high content of mountain bike specific track. They primary concept is all-inclusive trips that encourage an 'at your own pace' riding style along with fully catered camping in the back country  en-route.

So go have a look @ http://www.treadroutes.co.nz/ and if you look down the page you will come to they new Video. Filmed on part of one of the new Mountain Bike Tracks / New Zealand new cycle routes!

Have a good look and you will see a Yellow Thorn "Tom" and Me in Brown cycle gear  :o  a great afternoon out cycling away from cars and the birds in full song  :-*

Nice one Pete. I was within spitting distance of Taupo a couple of years back. It is a beautiful place but Rotorua is a bit niffy! That said there's great Belgian beer place there.
Now we know why your Nomad is yellow and not black; very distinctive on camera eh! LOL
Much prefer the birdsong over the soundtrack though.

Well today I was planning to go for a good Mountain Bike ride with "Tom" (my Nomad)....
But just as I was about to go out the door ("Tom" was outside just waiting) the sky started to darken and seconds later it started raining hard!  :'(

I'm starting to look forward to Spring and Warm Sunny days   :D

Well I'm still alive and working hard at my new job  :-* I'm cycling to get fit again but my back is starting to kill me with the more speed from me getting fit.

So I have ordered a new Mountain from my work, it's a new 2014 with all 2014 parts  :-*

Happy cycling and look out for my "Tom" in full touring set up
;)
