Jags has his dynohub wheel and headlight, on and working (!)
« on: February 06, 2013, 07:23:35 pm »
Hi All!

Jags has asked me to post a photo for him of the new, Shimano dynohub-powered light setup on his Sherpa. Andre kindly donated the halogen headlight and it is working fine with the new wheel/dyno. Looks very bright.

I am looking forward to hearing of jags' adventures with it; he has waited a long time for this, so happy days for him -- it's here!  ;D

Best,

Dan.

A goodlooking bike all round. So, Jags, was the thingy a cap or the plug itself? -- AJ

but yeah at long last i finally got the wheel more than 3 months waiting and maybe a year or so thinking about it.i got my son noel to ride up and down the street,  he wasn't to happy about that as it was bitter cold and he had just finished dinner ;D ;D ah well thats what i got him for ::)
really need to test it on black country roads but that will have to wait at least until the weather improves.

Thanks Andre for the FREE lamp your a gent and Dan for all the tech stuff what would i do without you too ;)

cheers
Anto.

Mechanicking is a breeze when you know how. it's when you're working out the details as you go that it's a pain in the posterior.

As soon as I sort out my pesky guards I'll be seeking  advice on my own planned lighting set up.

Btw, who is your aunt?

I've recently taken delivery of a Shutter Precision dynamo hub for my Moulton.

I have yet to have it built in to a wheel, but once it's up and running will post a report on how it compares with the SON that I have on my Club Tour.

Cheers,

pj

It's a breeze. Just wire it into the headlight and use the one switch to operate both lamps. You'll be amazed at what a bright lamp it is.
