Pendix eBike conversion experiences?
« on: Today at 03:46:47 PM »
I have a 2020 Raven with Rohloff which I have received an estimate from Thorn to have a Pendix installed. SJS do not have a demo bike to try but I'm confident the system must be pretty good otherwise they would not be selling and installing them. My wife has a Raleigh Motus pedelec bike and it's great to ride. If you want more exercise you just turn the assistance down. To go up the 20% gradient out of our valley you turn it up.  Does anyone have experiences they can share of the Pendix conversion on any bike, but particularly on a Raven?

Pendix have been covered a few times on the forum, I think this is the earliest thread, a few years ago, but I don't think they've changed much:

I'd tried one on an Airnimal and hadn't been impressed, I haven't got much to add to what I wrote then.  Within a few months of that I'd decided on a purpose built E-bike rather than a conversion and haven't regretted it since.
