hello, thanks for putting a link on my bike.  If I'd known of this forum before I wouldnt have bothered with ebay.  Would like the bike to go to someone who will appreciate it.  Theres a bit of a techical issue over the sizing on the frame. I measured center to center which gave me 48cm and top tube 53cm. But Thorn have told a potential buyer that this cannot be right. But I know my tape measure is ok. Oh am I measuring correctly? If anyone can help I''d really appreciate it. Thanks  :)

I don't know about the cyclosportif specifically but if you look at the serial number the first part could be related to the frame size.  EG mine begins 536L... which denotes the size.  The sizes will be in the brochure:  http://web.archive.org/web/20061118023247/http://www.thorncycles.co.uk/cyclosportif.html

Hi Nutters,
48cm is the actual seat tube length but because the top tube is sloping and the frame size is calculated as if the top tube is horizontal (virtual seat tube) the actual frame size will be larger than 48cm.
Best to get in touch with Thorn, using your measurements they should be able to tell you the correct size of your frame.
Regards,
Iain.
