Well first spin on new Audax today ;)
it was just 20 miles but i did have to meet a lad at 1pm .the day was very windy and cold but the bike preformed great made me forget about the weather.i was hoping it wasn't going to be to different from my Raleigh i'm so used to that raleigh it's almost part of me ;D.
well glad to report it was every bit as good  solid as a rock  lively and climbed very well.i let it rip going downhill just to see if there was any flex in the frame but it held the road as if it was on rails     ,mind you i forgot the brakes weren't the best, the top of the blocks are hitting the tyre walls ah well i survived no harm done.i can't wait to get the new brakes sorted then i can finish the bike happy days.
so overall i'm well pleased thanks John for a great frame .and Jim for the pedals Ian for panniers and rack. and everyone else for the good wishes most appreciated.
if anyone has spare R750 57mm brakes in there spares box and willing to sell please let me know.
photo to follow from our man Dan.but hes out cycling the lanes as i speak.

Great to follow your adventures and the rebirth of your bike. You've done a great job. Looking forward to pics of that Irish countryside.

Looks even better now it is built up. What it needs is five white stars of various sizes and at different levels on the seat tube where the blue and red meet. The five would stand in for the thirteen American breakaway colonies. Well, that's what this color scheme makes me think of, a flag, and how the EU stole the flag of the Thirteen Colonies.

Just bought a nice set of deep drop brakes from a lad on the ctc site Tektro, not ultegra i know but as long as they work better than what i have i'll be a happy camper.

Hi Anto,
I am pleased that you are happy with 'my' frameset. Also making it look good in a different way, silver whereas
I used mostly black. Well done.
Enjoy,
John

First batch coming now, Anto, posted by me on your behalf.

My! The bike is looking good, Anto! You need a pump to fit the pegs, and -- if you ever wish -- Tubus make cranked rack stays to accommodate obstructions.

What a beauty!

Best,

Dan. (...with more to follow)
