Anto,

I don't normally get excited by mudguards but in this case I will make an exception, very nice indeed  ;D

Oooh excellent! Blue tape works a treat.

I've seen a few Audaxes like that...but always too long for me. Enjoy it, she's made by same guy that does XTCs and he knows his stuff!

(Lee Cooper still building frames)
Pedal to the metal! Wind, rain, hills, braking power permitting ;)

I can hear Beethoven's Pastoral symphony as I type! What a delight. Sate my curiosity; which Carradice is that and if so which support are you using. I'm stuck in the cleft that is a sprung Brooks and a Carradice Camper long flap so very interested in your set-up.

Thanks Folks yeah it a cracking bike for sure smooth as silk.that photo is about 10 miles from my house it's a favourate route for cyclists .around the coast as we say here  ;D ;D
.

bag is carradice barley rack is the expedition works great but man is it ugly just as well the bag hides it.the wheel i won on facebook  ,hand built onto mavic sups 36 hole dt swiss and 105 hubs still running through.
saddle is fizik alanti carbon and ti rails cost a feckin fortune but my arse  likes it so cant complain really.
the campag sti leavers are just used for brake's  they belong to my son  ::) didnt have the dosh to buy new ones at the time i was building it up so i borrowed his.

i have the dura ace barens but to be honest good as they are give me STI any day,so if ever i get money i'll buy ultegra 9 speed sti .if ever i tour i have the tubus rear rack and ortlieb classic panniers (thanks Ian)and i use the  Axiom barbag handy as i dont need a bracket to mount it just straps on perfect..
what i like about this bike is it climbs well as if you were on rails hard to explain but once in the right gear its just not a problem.last sunday i went out with the lads mostly climbing all day 4500 mt according to garmin  ::) over 50 km.really class spin sun shining perfect cycling weather i came home as fresh as a daisy even went back for one of the lads on a climb, thats the type of guy i am  ;D ;D
pics on facebook JIM,i would ask Dan to post them up but he's having enough trouble without me annoying him.
anyway my audax is some machine, wonder how the newer models fair against it.

Photo worthy of a brochure cover shot, Anto -- absolutely stunning!

Me? I'm waiting for the poster - sized version so I can hang it on my wall!

All the best,

Dan.

A couple of photos from Anto's ride today ...

first the magic machine itself   8)

and next some genuine Irish scenery, with the town of Ardee in the distance

It was surely a great day for cycling.
