Just watched it on TV, never really been into it but i really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Olympics now to spur on the Brits.
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Jags,

I sure did enjoy seeing NZ picking up a Gold Medal at the world championships, wonderful stuff:

I must admit to being envious of the the brand new Avantidrome opening in Cambridge (NZ) this week (or was it last week,) a 250m Indoor Velodrome - we didn't have such things back in my day in the 1980s. When I was training in the 1980s, for an important competition I had to fly to Brisabane, Australia from New Zealand to train on an outdoor velordrome, as the one I used in Auckland, New Zealand would have been out of action for over half the time with winter rain. I think I lost just one day training in Brisbane due to weather. These days the guys can train whenever they want and never have to lose a day due to bad weather, but that is progress. I guess the guys from the 1960s and 1970s that I had it good in the 1980s, so nothing changes.

Training in the dry weather in Australia

For Jags - that is a Kiwi on my helmet, not a Kangaroo ;-)
