Downloadable campsite guide.

Hi everybody , my first post , I'm new here !

I'm looking for downloadable , onto ipad / kindle , european campsite guide(s). I know I could buy relevant books and scan / photo the required pages but hoping to escape that drudgery. Also when down route I sometimes take a way thats looks of interest for which I'd be informationless (yes it is telling me that is not a word)

I've found a number requiring a data connection , they are not fit for purpose for my use . Data roaming cost and patchy reception etc. Ta in advance.

As it happens, there are a number of downloadable camping guides for Europe, but may fail to meet your desired criteria in some way, as not all will run natively on the Kindle or iPad, being Android apps or intended for PCs or even as POIs for Garmin GPS units. If you have a Kindle Fire, then the chances it will run the Android apps is much better if you follow these directions: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2396276,00.asp

Looking at the content of most, it seems they are geared more toward the caravanner or car-camper, and not so much toward hikers and cyclists. And, of course, not all campings are listed (some require the campings to pay for a listing) nor is the content as immediately updated as it would be in web form.

• Some camping guides are available as Kindle-compatible downloadable books; check Amazon for those.
