Given your requirements, the Thorn Raven would be an ideal choice, Leftie.

Best,

Dan.

Hi leftie

I think either the Raven Tour or the Nomad would be a good choice. If it was me, I would base my choice on how often you will be riding the bike totaly unloaded. The Tour is a much nicer and nippier bike to ride unlaiden. The Nomad will feel a bit solid and dead unlaiden. Loaded with 25kg both bikes will be in their element and will both handle emminently well. Double that to 50kg and while the Nomad will be more than happy to carry it the Tour will be becoming a little on the "floppy"  side. Riden carefully it will handle it but it will be less enjoyable than with the Nomad.

Cycling is so knee friendly!!!!

I am sure you will be happy with your choice which ever way you go.

Andy

Raven or Sherpa. If you want to take it on a remote tour in the future, I would lean towards the Raven, otherwise probably the Sherpa.

Hi my next question is about riding position from relaxed to sporty. I won't be using drops or butterfly bars.

Are the "fairly relaxed" and "relaxed" positions good for long distance rides, obviously they are good for urban cycling.
