I totally agree Dan, two wheels on the front is far more stable (at least having the steering as two wheels rather than one is more stable, not sure if it is the opposite way if driven front and steered rear, then again front steering is more stable at speed than rear steering, oops thinking off at a tangent...).

Now you're talkin', Mac; they both look like a lot of fun. I especially like the "leaning" tadpole trike. Reminds me of the various "carver" leaning-corner car protypes from General Motors, Mercedes, and others.

I just came across this video of a front wheel drive rear wheel steer recumbent bicycle. It seems to work remarkably well with the steering axis well farward of the wheel so that the wheels track each other fairly closely.
I'd quite like a shot to see how it feels.
