Thorn Audax Mk4
« on: March 13, 2013, 08:58:39 AM »
Hi All,
I see that a lot of sizes are missing until June this year!
Would this mean at a new MK4 is on its way  ???
If so changes  ???
I'm looking to replace my "Africa Bicycle" frame with a lighter steel road (?) frame, I like the look and sizing of  the Audax.
BUT I like to have a seat post clamp (not a weld on bolt set up)

Pete . . .

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common[

Hello,
Good choice of course.
The sizes missing are sold out due to 'popularity! Delivery due early/mid Summer.

No Mk4 for a long time yet, we are just changing some of the colours.  We have to my knowlage had one of the welded on bolt tabs fail in normal use.

Any  timescale  re  delivery, it  seems  to  be  the  end   of  May  when I went  to  order  on-line.

Also  any  heads  up  re  new  colours  ?

Yes end of May is the best guess at the moment, the new colour on this delivery is Gunmetal, this will be the first of the frames to be done in wet paint Dupoint Imron not quite as tough as powdercoat but close and a really high gloss finish.  If these prove a sucess we may introduce another colour later in the year.  The colours being dropped are British Racing Green and Tonka Yellow.
