New portal, forum for Australian cycle-touring

Hi All!

No doubt our Australian members already know of this, but a new portal/online magazine is available for all things related to Australian cycle-touring.

Called CycleTraveller, its root page is here: http://cycletraveller.com.au/australia/

Cycle Traveller is the online magazine for bike routes, maps, resources and news about cycling around Australia. Be inspired, connect with other cyclists and plan your adventure! Founded in 2012, Cycle Traveller is building up the information on this site. If you have a story to tell, information to share or a question to ask, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can share information via our public forum, or send us an email. Happy riding!

The site has just launched and is under further development, but shows promise, including links to free maps around Australia.

Oh, yes, Ian...I recall you mentioning this before, and with good reason! I take particular note of such places and write them in my "Someday" list to visit. Even if I can't see all the places, just knowing such exist is a real "plus". I've poured over the photos and -- yep! -- time to bump it up a few notches on the list. I'd surely love to tour Down Under someday myself.

Not me and interestingly no mention of it that I am aware of the Australian Cycling Forums.  Personally I much prefer the work of GJ Coop who is out there doing some pretty amazing touring.  His website can be found at http://www.cycletrailsaustralia.com/

For those interested you can also follow him on his current wander around Australia at CGOAB.

Hi Thank You for letting me know about http://www.cycletrailsaustralia.com/ it is looking a great little read about more off road cycle tour trails 
I will have to check out "West Island" of New Zealand
