Hi All!
The latest issue just arrived is available on the 'Net here:
http://us1.campaign-archive2.com/?u=779d0fc02cc4843db052687bf&id=f5ad8824ac&e=9fe9e6dc64There's something to catch every eye; among the topics in this issue...
• Brooks' Travelling Show hits North America with dates in five cities including the US and Canada.
• The Pickwick treated-canvas roll-top cyclists' backpack.
• The Brooks multi-tool, details here:
http://blog.brooksengland.com/wps/sneak-peek-at-the-brooks-21-multi-tool/ Looks promising and has a saddle tension-nut spanner, of course.
• A Tate Britain art show with saddle-shaped "furniture" which (I think) cannot be sat upon.
• John Boultbee (Brooks) clothing, including a new/"old" wool jersey (when did wool become
so expensive when it usta be all we had?)
• Barbican seasonal editions of their classic shoulder bags in what appears to be really soft leather.
• The Blog & Cinema Section, including...
• Brooks from art design students (nice video of the forming/polishing process during the students' factory tour). Also available direct on YouTube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_rL_3gMvghY There's much fodder for our own speculation here, but the students seem to have caught most possibilities, from eyeglass frames to half-boots (the back half!), ear-flap helmets, top tube-mounted child seat with backrest, quick-release full-grip saddle-rail clamp (I'm nearly out of hyphens now), bike cover-rain cape combo, belt/bike mounted u-lock holders, leather hand-wraps (whew! I'm out till I reload on hyphens). You'll hit the Pause and Rewind buttons on this one for sure!
• South American Bike Polo Championships.
• Emily Chappell's Brooks saddle break-in routine (hint: It's not a "tour of China", it's "breaking-in a saddle").
Best,
Dan.
