Club Tour 595s
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:38:29 PM »
Afternoon all.

Selling my Thorn Club Tour as I am looking to change change it for something more aimed towards expedition/off road touring.

Have really enjoyed this bike. Have owned it for just under a year and went on a tour of the Pyrenees on it this summer. It performed fantastically throughout the trip. Comfortable, reliable but still a lot of fun down the descents! As the video in this link shows, the bike leaves you feeling fresh even at the top of the Col d'Aubisque when others on lesser machines start doubting themselves!

Pictures below. Since the photos were taken I have changed the tyres, added a rack and swapped the spacers from black to silver.

Spec as follows:

Thorn Club Tour Frame 595s (I am 6ft 1 and normally ride a 58 if that helps)
Spa Cycles built wheels: Shimano LX hubs laced to Exal 17 rims with Sapim double butted spokes.
Pasela Panaracer 32c tyres.
Shimano Ultegra 6500 cranks/rear mech/front mech/cassette. (48/36/26 chainrings)
Shimano r550 Cantilever brakes.
Oval R700 stem (110mm)
Deda 215 shallow drop bars (42cm wide c to c)
Shimano brake levers
Blackburn rear rack
SKS Chromoplastic Mudguards

Ideally I would like to keep hold of the Dura Ace bar end shifters. This could be discussed though.

I will be keeping hold of the saddle.

Any questions please ask. Am based in the South East but would be happy to arrange postage.

I am asking for £750. Would also be interested in a swap for a Sherpa or similar.

Cheers

Danneaux

Cheers Dan,

Would be happy to break the down bike to frame/fork/stems/bars/brakes if anyone would prefer that.

Thanks
