It was up last week at 50 pounds more expensive and thought it was a good price then so someone should get a bargain

Hi all - glad to report that the bargain appears to be mine! Picking it up tomorrow and thus joining the Thorn family. Now just need to sell some of my other bikes to accommodate it comfortably in the garage (and keep my non-cycling wife happy...).

I'm anticipating the Thorn will be my weapon of choice for long audaxes over the coming years (including London-Edinburgh-London next year). Now just looking forward to setting it up.

Good to know the outcome. I do hope that it turns out to be just as good as it would seem to be from the ebay listing and will be as you say "your weapon of choice". Hopefully we'll be getting to read some interesting posts of your rides on it in the future.

Yay! one of "ours" (now, and welcome!) got it; that means we get to see more photos and read ride reports!

Don't be a stranger, Pete; looking forward to hearing all on deliver and for a good long time after.

Best,

Dan.

Thanks all. Bike collected yesteday, need to give it a good clean & lube etc but seems OK (a few little cosmetic things to sort, as can be expected from a second hand bike). Only managed to ride it about 100 yards as today has been spent painting a new shed! :(

100 yards - thats a big shed lol.

Hope all goes well with the bike. I allways find it an exciting time with a new bike. I am sure by the time you have given it a good clean and fettle it will feel much more like it belongs

Take care and good luck
