Lon Las Cymru

Hi All

Has anyone ridden Lon Las Cymru if so any tips on interesting places along the way or places to avoid.

I thought I would to a short tour to use it as a warm up for later events and was thinking of doing it over 4 days towards the end of May.

Hi Richard,

No, I haven't done the ride myself, but am in the midst of researching it for a friend. No doubt you have already reviewed a number of sources for information, but here's some links in case you've missed them:

An excellent and challenging route.  I stayed in Dolgellau, Rhayader and Brecon before finishing in Cardiff.

This is a thread I started on the CTC forum that might be interesting.  There are some Thorn flavoured pics from my trip toward the foot of page 1.

Thanks for the links and tips Geo and Dan.

I intend starting in Cardiff and overnighting in Hay on Wye, Machynileth and Caernarfon and then making my way on the last day towards Chester.

Looking at the route it seems fairly hilly but the mileage each day should be manageable and give a bit of time for stops for food, photos etc.
