Jaysus, Mary an' Joseph! Just because you can do such things... I like the high places too, but have never felt the urge to ride my bike off one.

Some excellent photography from cycle touring/bikepacking across central Asia including the Pamir Highway.

Sponsored by another bike company (so hope it will be OK to post here) but you could imagine doing the same on your Thorn!

Watched this 1949 movie at the weekend after a friend gave me the link.
“A boy, a girl and a bike.”

Real Nostalgia and shows the typical cycling club scene in Northern England back then. Plus fantastic Yorkshire Dales scenery even though in black and white. The absence of cars is amazing.
A young Honor Blackman, Diana Dors and very young Anthony Newley. The bikes are the real stars though!

Enjoy

This thread seems to have been lying dormant for a while, time to fire it up again with things to watch during 'lockdown'.

Good film from Brompton Traveller on youtube on his tour of the southern half of the Caraterra Austral in Chile.
Anyone who says Bromptons are not suitable for touring needs to have a watch of this.
500km on 'ripio' gravel roads.

We are not permitted to go out for a bike ride so I am using an exercise bike indoors. I am following Gianni's rides by putting my Samsung tablet on the exercise bike console and running his videos. His are particularly good for this because a high proportion of the time he is riding with a chest cam running so I'm cycling in his place. It passes an hour each day. I've also been with him through Pakisatan, Thailand and Morocco in the past week or so and the Canadian Rockies this morning. Good stuff. I'd recommend the Brompton Traveler too.
Brian.
