What have you found that will fit in a profile bottle cage?
« on: March 09, 2012, 11:13:54 AM »
I just wondered what useful things people have managed to fit into the profile bottle cages that come on thorn bikes.

I can get a 1L or 0.5L alluminum thernous into mine

Sometimes use mine as a wardrobe, hats, gloves, jackets, over-trousers.

While I don't have Profile cages on my Sherpa (it uses CatEye nylon cages), I have had one in the past and found the dimensions the same, so here's a list of what's gone into mine on occasion:

- wadded-up rain jacket
- wadded-up woolen jersey
- Shoe covers when it stopped raining
- .75l water bottle
- 1.0l Zefal Magnum water bottle
- SOMA tool bottle (plastic bottle with screw-on lid to hold tools)
- Cage Rocket cell-phone holder
- Underseat tool bag (the small one that otherwise clipped to the saddle rails)
- Sack/pasteboard container containing Chinese take-out meal
- Lidded styro cup of hot coffee or hot tea

Best,

Dan.

A rather heavy 6 volt Lead Acid Battery that only powered a CATEYE HALOGEN lamp for 45 minutes at best.  So one had to peddle like mad back from keep fit classers in the winter before it went flat.

Kinda met the goal without the class, d'innit!  :-\

Your luck with the CatEye Halogen battery life is about the same as mine.  :(

Best,

Dan.
