RST First Pics PART 1
« on: November 23, 2011, 03:44:09 PM »
A few photos of my new RST before taking out for a ride on a cold November. Nothing too arty but hopefully interesting

...hopefully interesting

I'll say!

Among the most interesting details of a really nice-looking build are the red Rohloff Speedhub and the interesting brake lever placement.  I'm trying to decide which gets the upper hand!  :D

Such a neat, tidy cockpit, and every detail looks "just right", Andy.  What a pleasant, comfortable and (I'm guessing) fast (!) place to be.

Congratulations!

Best,

Dan.

I nust say it has been a pleasure to own so far. I did not have any say in the spec having purchased second hand but first thoughts are that nothing much needs changing.

Comfortable cruising speed is about 16mph which is in 9/10th gear. 11th is geared for about 20mph which is a bit fast for me for cruising.

Decision time - change gear ratio or get fitter

I'll give it some time with the current gearing and see how I go

Very nice bikes.  I have to say I really like the red Rohloffs.   8)

Looking really nice Andy, how do you find the Ergon bar ends?

What mud guard sizes are those, they look like a really nice fit?

Hi

The mudguards are sks and are 47mm wide. They are a nice fit and look in keeping with the narrower tyres compared to the Nomad
