Thanks so much, Peter. I'd figured it might be 12.7mm to equal 1/2", but this is pretty close; enough I can get a reasonably direct comparo with my regular gear charts (and do the usual gear-inch calculation of chainring teeth/cog teeth * nominal wheel diameter).
Helps me better get my mind around comparability instead of comparing just the ratios, as is usual.
