Training for long tour
« on: May 02, 2010, 11:33:56 am »
Hi

My mileage varies a little bit.  My commutes nets me 90km per week and then I have one long weekend rode fully looaded.  I also take the long way home a couple of times a week and all in this brings me up to about 200km oer week give or take.

Is this enough? I am training right? Any tips would be very welcome...

Depends very much whether you're preparing for a long tour of the Himalayas or Holland.  I'd say that 200K per week is sufficient for most, especially if you do a loaded w/ender or two in the weeks ahead of your tour.   However, if you're going to be tackling mountains, I suggest your loaded w/enders incorporate some hills.

Where are you going on your tour?
