After 5 months daily commutering use/abuse it's time to give this little beauty a well-earned rest for
a couple of weeks with a oil-change thrown in for a treat.
It's done +3200 miles, had 7 punctures [none in the 1st 2000 miles then; hedge trimming season
hit and it's been 1 a week on average..] and every pedal stroke has been an utter pleasure
as it's made my 34 mile commute a bit of a doddle.
I've had to adjust the chain about every 3/4 weeks, which it seems is higher than average.
[I do ride 48x16 gears, maybe that's why] so the bracket has nearly gone round to the point of needing a link whipped out.
As the more eagle eyed amongst you might have noticed, the back SKS mudguard only made it through it's last week held
together with good old red posty bands - I need a replacement bracket but initial research at SJS cycles etc hasn't yielded
a source. Any ideas folks? [looks like its a old copper pipe bracket i spotted in the shed today then!].
........and yes, I do wash it regularly.
