Thorn Mk5 Expedition Lo-Loader Black powder as new
« on: January 10, 2009, 05:51:41 pm »
Just before chrimbo I bought my lovely red sherpa

But had SJS fit thorns own mk5 expedition racks front and back with the front being a lo-Loader in black

Having loaded up all my kit I feel I need a different front rack with a top plate

so I have decided to sell the as new thorn Mk 5 expeditionfront rack Lo-loader

the price when new is £70 then postage

Should anyone wish to buy it then I am selling it (including postage at standard parcel rate)  for £50

As with most sales first come first served

Many Thanks

unless someone has a surly nice rack and wants to swap?

I had thought of that jags

However I am going for a surly nice rack

That has a top plate and allows height adjustment depending on the road/terrain conditions

Hi Bobs sir

I wrote to Dave at sjs asked about the surly and he quite rightly pointed out that thorns expeditions are well upto the job but i pointed out my issue was the height not the quality.

It wasn't offered so I didn't push an exchange

so I've left enough pennies to purchase the surly as I feel the thorns will be okay on human roads/paths but the lower bag hieght will be an issue later.

can't help thinking I should have been straight to the point but I thought I was when my original question to sjs was fully informative.

anyway..will try the thorns first .. and almost definatly buy and fit a surly from someone else
