stutho thank's for that link ,yeah it's a lovely part of the country i use this route a lot bit draggy in places but very quiet roads,it's only 20 minutes from my door.
cake i haven't done a tour as yet hopefully this summer ,but iv'e put my road's bike's away im on the sherpa all the time trying to break in the brooks saddle.

Found your Sherpa pics at last; what a beauty! A really nice build, and one of the few I've seen with STI levers. I see yours has the gloss finish and the lovely bands on each side of the logos. Is it the gun-metal finish? Love the homemade Click-Stand from available materials. Did you ever get a kickstand of some sort?

In that last shot, I can see the hills you've got to climb. My goodness, man, that thing is a wall. I can also see why you want some lighter wheels to get up them a bit faster.

I especially enjoyed the Boyne Valley pics...that area has some real significance in my family history. Simply beautiful countryside to ride in, with that magical picture-book quality, nicely captured.

Saw your touring pics offsite, but they were a bit small. I'd sure like to see some updates, especially loaded with bags as you prepare for this next tour.

Thanks for that Dan, ah it's a lovely route to newgrange and around the boyne valley right on my doorstep.
the roads are not as steep as they look but they are as we say over here very heavy the  tarmac is terrible but the sherpa takes it all in its stride i'm glad to report.
i can't post any photos as yet because the leads for the camera  have disappeared.
i was going to invest in a click stand but it was costing me to much money to get it to ireland ,ah i suppose i'll have to settle for the nearest gate or wall to lean my little beauty against

Have you tried reading the card directly off the reader? No leads required that way. Shame about the Click-Stand postage costs. At first, I thought it might cost less for someone to forward it to you, but Tom Nostrant doesn't gouge on shipping; sending things overseas from here has just come to cost a lot. I finally had to stop sending Christmas and birthday gifts to friends overseas when I found the shipping was 3x the value of the prezzie.

Dan i will never get the hang of computers thats a fact ;Di did have loads of photos on my computer but it crashed on me and everything was lost .
buy yeah postage from the states is crazy i bought a stool  from a guy that was just starting up a business the stool was 15 dollars but it cost 25 for postage.

thanks for that Dan  me and my mate paddy came across about 40  lads and lassies from the isle of man  that was touring ireland this was one of there stops canoeing on the river boyne. had a chat with that lad in first pic he thought ireland was only beautiful
