Is a Rohloff heavier than XT or not?

It doesn't really matter because my RT is a good bike for lots of other reasons and I'm sold on the benefits of a Speedhub for general riding and touring anyway; I just want to be able to give a good response to people who ask about the weight.

Articles that I read in the press always seem to suggest that a Speedhub makes a bike heavier. I know that Thorn claim the weight to be the same, but that seems an unlikely coinsidence!

Can anyone tell me the actual weight of:

Speedhub, 16t sprocket, 42t Thorn chainset, chain, shifter and cables combined as fitted to an RT?

Deore XT rear hub, 11-32 cassette, 24-36-46 chainset, chain, front and rear derailers, shifters and cables combined, as fitted to, say, an old style Nomad?

I would do this myself but I don't have access to all the loose parts!

This is a link to a FAQ on the Rohloff site which discusses the relative weights.

Rohloff estimate the weight of derailleur components left off as 1600 grams and the weight of rohloff components added as 1820 grams, an extra 220 grams for the speedhub.

I would expect the difference to be a bit less than 200 grams as the chain on my rohloff bike is 14 links shorter than the derailleur chain that I used to have. Rohloff don't seem to have included this.
