I went out to work off the bloated feeling of a huge christmas lunch and the weather was quite mild here in Bedfordshire, due, in part, to being 500-odd miles further from the arctic circle!

I washed all the grime off the bike, cleaned the chain and found it to be completely knackered.  I only checked the thing 250 miles ago.  It is the cheap standard job, but i did expect a little more than 2000 miles out of it, considering i look after it quite well.  Very much looking forward to getting the Rohloff equipped RT!

Rather warm here in Gloucestershire today. I cleaned my Club Tour as it was very very mucky after a few weeks use.
Looking good for riding but have to go see relatives.
John.

I rode about 80 km on Boxing Day.

It's been a bit cooler than than the last few weeks, probably no more than 28 deg. celsius.

We may not have white Christmasses here in Australia, but we do get to play outside.

Cheers,
