Schwalbe marathon supreme 26x2" 50-559

I found the 26x2" acted like a brake when I stopped peddling!
Great for my Pamir Highway trip - no issues at all.
In fact there is still plenty of tread left on them and I have listed them for sale here.
Horses for courses I guess.
All my other tours have been on 1.25 or 1.75
Schwalbe Marathons. Only one puncture in Morocco. Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Thailand twice - all good.

But interested in others thoughts.

Do you think 26x2.30 tires are ok wirh the Nomad MK2 ?

I have used Schwalbe Marathon Mondial 55x559 with mudguards on my Raven Tour frames, these have slighly less clearance than a Nomad.

So 26x2.30 should fit a Nomad. But perhaps not with mudguards?

There is also the issue that advertised tyre sizes don't always correspond to the true size.
