Identification
« on: November 19, 2021, 12:06:40 PM »
Hi, I haven't visited the site for while but I wanted to a) share my glee at my recent winter project gumtree find and b) solicit forum user's help in properly identifying it. It was advertised as a Nomad (the headstock badge is gone and it's painted matt black but the 'Thorn' stamp is there at the top of the rear struts) but with the 'X' brace at the rear does that make it an eXp or a Nomad variant? I think I understand the import of the 'KS' initials on the BB though. Any thoughts? (Wanted to upload pics. of it in it's full cobwebbed glory but the site tells me they're 'too big' - a shame.)

Given the X brace on the seatstays it will almost certainly be an EXP of some variant. You'll probably have KS initialled under the BB shell as part of the serial number.

There's a good selection of free image resizer programs and apps which you can use to reduce the file size.

I think the max file size is a half meg.

I usually use a 16 megapixel camera, when I post photos I resize them at 20 percent first.  I think the photo then is 922 pixels wide, 691 high.

I use a VERY old copy of Microsoft Office Picture manager to resize them.

And/or: Preview works on my Macbook Pro laptop -- standard-issue Mac app.
