Rohloff Gear cables
« on: September 25, 2007, 10:18:44 PM »
I have had lots of problems trying to get a decent installation of cables 3 attempts now ! I have decided to do it myself .Does anyone out there have any experience of using different cables and how well did they work?   sugestions so far include

shimano XTR
shimano XLR

my problems stem from incorrect installation would there be any milage in removing the inner sheath from my rohloff cables and giving that a go as Iam sure that is causing the problem    help

Have you read this thread?

http://www.sjscycles.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=771

I think there may be another thread somewhere in the Rohloff forum that also covers this issue.

i have recabled using XTR inners and outers and the hub is know shifting sweetly have been on a few dirty rides and no change, avoid Rohloff cables like the plague they are troublesome in dirty areas
