Strange Cycles Short Pull V-Brake

These Strange Cycles Short Pull V-Brakes https://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=131789&sid=552f5e15c200ec8d036619243c8c0547 look like an interesting way to approximate V-Brakes with short pull drop bar levers. Has anybody used them?

Strange indeed, I'm almost tempted for the novelty value, but don't currently have a bike they'd go with.

Theoretically mini-V brakes will work with short pull road type levers.  I put mini-Vs on my folding bike.  They are quite sensitive, I have to be careful I do not pull too hard on the levers.  I think I got the Tektro 926AL, which should have an arm length of 80mm.

I do not understand the extra linkage on that one, but I have no real interest in figuring it out.
