Hello,
Thanks for the kind comment, I try my best.
The ride compared to the Sherpa? Well, the Club Tour is comfortable, handles well, is nice to look at, well.......its as good as the Sherpa but different. Oh, I know what it is, its the wheels! The Sherpa has 26" and the Club Tour 700 c. Thats the real difference. I feel that the Sherpa is heavier on the road and the Club Tour a little more lively.
Its hard to compare really as I have really built the Club Tour to use as a day rides or Winter bike. The real truth of the matter is, that every Thorn bike I have had or ridden has ridden great. The only bike I had mixed feelings/reservations about was the Raven Tour. The reason I was not too keen on the Raven Tour was down to the MTB style of bars and riding position plus not over keen on the hub gearing. I am in a minority I think.
However getting back to the original question, its another great Thorn and I am very happy with it,.
John.

i intend to buy the sherpa, frame and build it up over the winter months..
dont like the hub gearing either, shimano gearing is hard to beat,
if i can get the wheels sorted i reckon ill have ,a really class touring bike..

Hello again.
Just been for a ride on the Club Tour. Windy day here today. The Club Tour is most definately a quicker handling bike and not so sure footed as the Sherpa. Still just as comfortable though.
I have always favoured my Audax 853 over any other bike, but now I have the Sherpa, if I could only keep one bike it would be the Thorn...........................................Sherpa.
John.
