Welcome to the forum and the new acquisition despite the sad circumstances, I've just sold a bike for the widow of a friend and I know how important it was for her for it to go to someone who would appreciate it.
Raven's love to be ridden, tip top condition to me means always ready to ride and one of the joys of the Rohloff is that it doesn't take much to keep them that way -
Don't obsess about chain tension like most new owners (Including me) tight enough not to fall off is tight enough anywhere between that and straining the bearings is fine.
Steel is real - so it rusts! When you get a knock, clean it and paint it, doesn't have to match, just needs to keep the dreaded R away.
Buy some bulk oil and flush if you didn't get them with the bike, it makes oil changes cheap enough to do them at a convenient time rather than to a specified schedule.
If you have an original silver hub, it's polished rather than anodised (Not sure when it changed) they polish up like new with a bit of Silvo.
Other than that, it's brakes, chains and tyres like any other bike, except the chains last a lot longer.
Enjoy it and let's see some photos!!
