i have for sale a thorn xtc in a nice red colour.

frame is reynolds 725 steel, and comes with riser bars and not drops.

size is large with medium top tube (i'm 5'9 will fit 6'+)

complete shimano xt drivetrain (f/mech, r/mech, chainset, shifters, casette) deore levers and v-brakes, xt 36-hole hubs on mavic x618cd rims.

extras include sks front mudguard, expedition rear rack and shimano touring spd pedals.

looking for around the £650 mark but open to offers.

Wondered how old bike is and how easy/ expensive it would be to change to drop bars.

hi dave i believe the bike is a 2002/2003. (frame number is LA18302 95 if you want to check with thorn) you could change to drops very easily an fairly inexpensively. i actually bought all the gear to change myself and decided i preferred the upright bars. all you would need would be drop bars, bar tape, bar end shifers (or sti/brake combo) and some brake levers that were compatable with v-brakes or change to cantis. overall cost from £70 even less if you buy second hand. if you send me your email i'll send some pics on to you (bike currently is in the middle of me swapping the brakes). kind regards, jonathan
