Nice photos and nice bike, Anto -- definitely moving from spring towards summer.

Here, we're experimenting with weather more like what you're used to (I'm told) -- cool and wet, with occasional patches of sun.  Up into the hills yesterday for 3+ hours, light rain all the time. Felt like I was practising for a UK-&-I trip, and I was asking myself, "Do I really want to do this?" The good news is that my rain gear worked well, and my mudguards and Chainglider kept most of the crud away from my drivetrain.

Nah, I'm still good for it, Anto. Nice to see the very countryside one branch of my ancestors came from. D'ya know, they lived only a few doors down from you.

All the best,

Dan.

Great stuff, jags -- look forward to your stories.  Good thing you did a test-pitch of your tent!--that's why it's a recommended practice :-)

Safe journeys, and enjoy the decent weather I've ordered for you,

John

The bike was fantastic  can't say the same for he pilot, :'(
4 days into the tour my back caved in just could not go any further.
i was fine on the flat but as soon as the road went up i died a death .
.
my back is in a bad way now so not to much cycling
such as life i suppose getting old  ::)

we had a good time bikepacker and meself  had some good laughs ,weather was fantastic  roads were great .
all the gear worked great except for the bloody noisy exped synmatt lucky i wasn't fired of the campsite it creaked like crazy every time  i moved .

anyway i wont be doing anymore cycle touring overnighters maybe but certainly not multyday tours.

cheers all
anto.

Sorry to hear you didn't reach your goal but pleased you had some good times. Even an overnight stop can make a bike ride into an adventure, hope your back allows you to get out again soon.
