Ahoy Everyone,
I've just managed to get back on the forum after being away for a while. Partly due to being away at sea for much of the last year and party due to being locked out of both the forum and the email account attached to my forum membership.
Anyway having been away I haven't managed to do much riding. I did get a short camping trip in with the kids before the winter properly set in here in Northern England. I fitted the Tandem with 26x2 Dureme's before the trip and my word they are good. I can see why so many here rate them so highly now. Both on and off road they are terrific.
Although not riding as much as I'd like I have been buying bikes. On something of a whim I spent the money that had been saved towards a Raven on a Challenge Seiran recumbent tourer. I've yet to make my mind up as to whether I'll keep this bike or not. Sometimes I love it sometimes, (usually when climbing), I hate it. I need to get my recumbent fitness up to a respectable level before making any decision though.

Here she is on a short tour in Scotland.

Nice to have you back, Joe, and welcome "home" after your extended voyages.

I'm surely sorry you were unable to access the Forum due to issues. If you need, you are always welcome to contact me by email through my username at the big G provider and I will work to clear your password so you can set a new one and gain access to your account.

The tandem rides with kids sound great, and you've a lovely new steed. I hope it works out for you, but if not, you'll be richer for the experience (what I tell myself in such cases). Duremes are a "dream", aren't they? A nice all-round tire for many uses.

All the best,

Dan.
