I had to sign in and couldn't remember which of the three options my Mac offered is my current combination. It turned out that none is. Happy guessing!

Andre (and others in a similar fix...),

It isn't necessary to make a test post to see if you're logged-in. If you've logged-in successfully, your avatar and name will appear at the top of the Forum index and you will see the unread posts clearly marked. You will then be able to post unless your account status has been changed (i.e. banned members).

All passwords on the Forum are encrypted for security reasons and can't be retrieved even by me, the Administrator. However, if a password has been forgotten, it can be changed or reset by the user or by the Administrator (the latter on a temporary basis; you'd then log in and reset it to something only you know).

How to reset your password? Go to the Login page and select the "Forgot your password?" link. This will cause the Authentication Reminder box to display, so you can enter your username or email address, and so reset your password.

Once you've done this, you'll be offered two choices:

1) Email me a new password – enter the email address you have associated with your Forum account, and you'll then receive an automated email that includes a link to change your password to allow login.

2) Let me set a new password by entering my “secret question” – enter the answer to your secret question and provide your new password in the appropriate fields. You can then log in.

All the best,

Dan.
