I would never advocate smacking a dog about the head with a Bicycle pump (because most pumps would break) BUT should you ever need to I think the Zefal HPX would be excellent. Really well made from metal, I can't imagine a dog coming back for 2nd helpings. It can also be used to inflate bicycle tyres I'm told, now there's a bonus.
