Ooh, that is pretty! I especially like the crank and drilled chairing (I have a few chainrings from the "drillium" era, including a Stronglight 99 bis). The auction photos surely do a nice job showing the cranked chainstays; never seen them from that angle before.

Best,

Dan.

How do these Drillium rings hold up?

Always look like a disaster waiting to happen to me...some people love them though!
Pedal to the metal! Wind, rain, hills, braking power permitting ;)

Hi to all,
Just won this bike on ebay !!!!...seems like a lot of bike for the money.

New to thorn...had two visits to Woodrup to look at the Chimera and also looking at used RSTs...but I'm sure this Mercury will suit me better.
I have a Van Nicholas ti Mistral road bike and having just sold my Brompton,Dahon tr and my Scott Sub 10 I wanted an agile, lightweight Rohloff light-tourer on 700c wheels. The mercury seems to fit the bill.....will let you know .

Just hope the "spring weather" allows me to travel from York to Bristol to collect before winter returns !!!

Regards

Kevin!

I'm just delighted for you -- congratulations on a wonderful new bike! My, what a "lovely" it is, too!

I'm sure it will be everything you are hoping for, and wish you every happy mile upon it.

So looking forward to your ride reports and perhaps even some gallery photos after you collect it.

Ah, but that has to be a quick machine -- it even looks fast standing still in the auction photos; Z-o-o-m!

Fingers crossed for cooperative weather; happy days are here! Welcome to the Forum in full ownership.

Best,

Dan.
