Adjustable reach stem!
« on: November 30, 2005, 08:59:04 PM »
An ingenius cycling item that I've come across recently, an adjustable reach stem:

http://www.phred.org/~josh/bike/stem.html

It's pretty shocking such an item isn't in production today(if it is, I haven't seen it), such a stem could even be adapted to an aheadset setup. This would be particularly great for touring bikes with people perhaps wanting to change their reach during their tour.

So, anyone know anything about brazing???, SJS guys...perhaps this is something you'd like to take upon yourselves to make [;)]

This looks good, what do you call it?
I have not seen it on the Thorn web site.

Ooo, I love it! I especially like the branded plug at the front, but I can't help wondering what sorts of accessories I could affix there instead...
