Were in the UK
« on: March 30, 2010, 07:56:33 PM »
Hi Everyone,

We arrived in London last week and have officially hit the road today.  We have started the Thames Valley cycle route on our way to Oxford and it's been great.  The bikes have been awesome through the mud and grime today and for the 4 weeks previsouly in south west Western Australia.

Bit cold but we are going OK staying in pubs rather than camping.

Love the bikes, just awesome.

Cheers
Gary

Welcome to the UK!  We're still on the back of the worst winter in 30 years sothings can only get better.  I've just cancelled my Easter trip to Scotland because of the snow.  Enjoy the pubs!  Do you have an itinerary?

Hi geocycle,

Thanks for the welcome.  We do have a sort of itinerary, head up to Oxford, pop up to Banbury to visit friends then down to Somerset to the relatives.  We are also popping into SJS Cycles to get Sandy some new forks with a longer steerer and to get smaller chainrings, we have found the big hills a bit of a challenge fully loaded :)

More mud today, I could not imagine touring here in this weather on any other bike.

After the UK then over to France and then ever Eastward until we get sick of it.

Cheers
Gary
