Could you clarify - where exactly is Sunderland - on which shore of the Lune Estuary??

Hi Lewis,

Sunderland is on the Morecambe side of the Lune Estuary and the road to the village is flooded twice day with the tidy and if you never been worth going to as its off the tourist trail.

Great pictures Fisher, thanks for posting the links to your reports.  By coincidence I was at Sunderland Point a fortnight ago and very nearly got caught by the tide, which would have been embarassing since I had a plane to catch in the evening! You can't beat a bit of modest 'fording'!
