just north of Cramond at Kirkliston Road - Saw you (male) on a Rohloff equipped flat bar touring bike going southeast as i headed northwest on the cycle path, i was on a RST (red) with black anodised Rohloff, last wednesday 7 May 1700ish.

Your only the 3rd rohloff equipped bike i've seen on the road, in use, in Scotland.

cycled to edinbugh from glasgow on the canal path for the fringe preview week
2 nomads full up with campin gear
same again this year

It was not me, but on 13th June 2008 about 90 of us rode through there as we finished the Sustrans Clyde tae Forth celebration ride.

There were a handful of flat barred Rohloff equipped Thorn bikes in the group!

we had a strange situation when in edinburgh town centre last year
my partner just had to have a cappuchino whilst visiting harvey nicks
pushing the 2 loaded thorns down the lane beside harveys we spied a cofee shop
we thought nothing of it propped the bikes against the wall sat down to order
when a security guard came up he told us we coundnt leave our bikes there as it was a private road ?
no chance of that 2 loaded thorns with all our gear we explained we were havin a cappachino
then catching train this went down like a balloon full of lead very strange
we ended up putting bikes in shop then sitting outside
they must have been clocking us on cctv as we walked away the guard give him his due came up and apologised and said the cafe did very good coffee

i really like edinburgh and will be back this year again for the fringe preview as loads of free shows
