Think its to early to say its the best bike i have ever owned but it is the most comfatable, and is getting better as the B17 eases a bit, and the gears are already quieter

Just wondered how you are getting on with the comfort bars... I'm after a new bike and can't decide between the straight, drop or comfort.... Do the bar ends work well - I guess they're at rather an angle sideways rather than pointing straight forward?

Very jealous of your bike - it looks gorgeous!

Thank you. I to was not sure i new i did not want straight, because i have had wrist problems with them before. I went for the comfort bars because i like feel like i am being stretched when i use drops.  I also feel like I should be racing every where on drops, fine 20 years ago!!! Same reason I went for the pedals with SPD on one Side and normal on the other. Some times I don't want to get dressed up to just pop down to the shops, this is my every day transport as well as a long distance friend.
So far the comfort bars have been very comfy! The bar ends work well they extend the area that you can rest your hands and they don't point outwards because of the shape, they have a slight bend to them. They allow you to wrap your hand around them on the bar ends, i was not sure to start with but i do like them a lot now.

Superb looking bike and similar spec to my buddy (chillmoister) who took this lovely picture of our mini-adventure last week in the Savernake Forest

Another nice picture freddered.  Thanks for sharing these with us.

Lancer17.  I agree with you regarding the single sided SPDs.  I have them for the same reason as you - much easier when wearing normal shoes for utility trips.  I also like to unclip when things get very slow on a steep climb, or conversely downhill on rocky offroads.
