SP Hub Question

Just received my order from Star Bike with our PV-8 hubs. But since there were no instructions I have a question about how to attach the wires at the hub. I thought I had seen a pic somewhere but I cannot seem to find it.
Help would be great!

Sorry I guess I should have been more clear. I have the plug just not sure how to attach the wire or how the plug works.

Looks like a copy of the shimano connector.
Feed bare wire ends through part with two holes, fold wires back into grooves on outside of part with two holes, clip two connector parts together, attach to hub.

While some prefer to have the connector on top for a visually "cleaner" installation, I prefer mine with the connectors at the bottom, with the wire forming a "drip loop" so water does not run into the connector. It also makes dis/connection easier when inserting or removing the front wheel.

It is by no means the only way to go about wiring a dynohub, but has worked well for me and held up nicely over time with no issues.

Making the connection at the bottom, as demonstrated in Dan's photos, with a drip loop, is not only a question of keeping water out of the electrics, but also of not providing an easy path of it to attack the bearings in an expensive component.

Shouldn't be necessary with the Shimano/SP plug because the wires are fully contained within the plug assembly.

On the SON dynamos it is a Real Good Idea because otherwise you'd have bare female spade connectors exposed where they could be shorted or brushed against.

Believe it or not, it is possible to get a nasty jolt by bridging the two terminals with a finger while the wheel is spinning at speed. Of course, I had to try it and -- Yep! -- it gives a jolt. Works even better if your hands are wet.

while building these 2 wheels I noticed that the SP hub ,right side , has a flat milled on the axle. I was wondering what the purpose of this might be?
