Regarding my recent Brevet purchase.
The bike has exceeded my expectations! I simply built the bike as a trainer/Winter bike. Been out for a very windy ride today. I feel that its as good as the Audax 853. In fact if the Brevet had been my first Thorn I would probably have thought that a more expensive bike would be a waste of money. Anyhow I now have a set of three. I recall a conversation with Robin in 1994/5 when he told me I would one day ride his bikes and Dawes would be out of business. He looks to have been correct. Amazing. Please pass on my feelings to Robin and Andy. The design is so comfortable I feel that made to measure bikes are a thing of the past.

Hi, yeah I read that thread too, in fact in a way it's what's brought me here because having read it I took a long, detailed look at the Thorn bikes. I ride a Galaxy rght now, but i'm very seriously considering ordering a Raven next summer as a result. I think your bikes looked geat too btw.

I tend to stay mainly within the Touring forum at C+ anyway, you'd have probably have got a warmer response to your post in there, very Pro-Thorn from what I can tell.. You handled it really well, all the best to you..
