New Bike Business Fife, Edinburgh, Lothians
« on: January 30, 2011, 05:23:28 PM »
Hi
After 18 years in the public sector I have set up my own business capitalising on my enthusiasm, skills and recent training at the Bike Inn as a pro bicycle mechanic  www.davesbikeshed.co.uk   you will see that I am offering work (basic) on Rohloffs.  I would discount any work procured through these forums, wheel building via the post always a proposition I am keen to discuss.

safe cycling
David

Good luck on your venture.  One of the few issues from rohloff ownership is finding a wheel builder who knows how to deal with the hub so there has to be a market there.  More generally, there are few LBS' who can service hubgears (of any sort) so that would be another niche.

I took my MTB to Dave a couple of months ago to get it upgraded to disc brakes and Dave did a great job putting it all together.   8)

I also got to see 'the shed' and Dave's RST.  Unfortunately I didn't take my RST for Dave to see, it hasn't needed any tlc [other than oil changes] in the past couple of years, but someday I'll take it to Dave to work on.   ;D

As Dave said, the RST just keeps going, and going, and going ...
