heading out in a few days for a 5 day tour on my nomad around the top of the south island of new zealand ... getting out and doing what it is designed to do ... but combining it with two scenic train trips ...

Hey Hoogie, Happy new wossname!
I am in the throes of stopping smoking and I will use the money saved for a new Thorn.
Had THREE Nomads in 531 and loved 'em but, idiot that I am, let them go.
Next one will be either Raven Tour or another Nomad.
Any regrets with yours as opposed to the Rohloff idea?

no regrets with my one ... the rohloffs weren't available when i got mine ... they look really good though, but i am not sure how i can swing a new thorn past the wife this coming year ...

just got back from the tour ... it was a little bit wet and windy, and was quite happy how the nomad went fully loaded ...
