Rohloff Book
« on: July 23, 2011, 01:20:12 AM »
For those interested, I was able to purchase the book "Rohloff Stories" (the english version) thru Amazon UK for 17 GBP ($30 US?). It took a couple weeks to make it to the states, but the wait proved worthwhile. It's a well-crafted read with wonderful photos, the history of the company, tons of technical illustrations/descriptions and also many stories from high-mileage Speedhub users around the world. Also of interest is the section near the back of the book, where you see what happens to Speedhubs that came across unfortunate circumstances. Anyway, I know I was waiting for the translation from German, so here is my reminder to like-minded folks.

Mine came in a few days from The Book Depository, via Amazon. £10.93 plus £2.80 p&p. :-* Great read; quality paper - pity it's translated into American >:(, not real English, though!

Something I noticed after reading the book cover-to-cover, most of the rider stories are not as well translated to english as the rest of the book. It is all translated, but at the same time has a "chunky" feel to the reading. But you can still comprehend what the stories are trying to convey.
